The loading/unloading area «Bakaritsa» of JSC Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port is located on the left bank of the Northern Dvina river at 36 nautical miles distance from the Pilot Buoy. The area specializes in transshipment of all cargo kinds to arctic directions, as well as of outward cargo: pulp and paper, plywood, timber, coal, scrap metal.

The open storage area is 140 013 square meters, the covered storage area equals to 35 464 square meters, berthing line is 1793 meters at the permissible draft of 7.5 m. The modern vehicle park of small- and large-scale mechanization supplies freight operation at 13 berths of the district. The presence of direct output to the federal route Arkhangelsk-Moscow is the obvious advantage for the district. The area is served by two railway stations: «Arkhangelsk» and «Bakaritsa».
